PetroLogistics and Bayer May Build Ethane Cracker Plant

The Oil and Gas Financial Journal reports that Houston-based PetroLogistics has entered talks with Bayer about purchasing Bayer property for location of an ethane cracker plant.  A cracker plant converts ethane to ethylene which is used as an ingredient in many chemical products.  Ethane is one of the “wet” ingredients in natural gas harvested from Marcellus shale.
