Checking the internet on fracking in West Virginia, I heard that last year a man-made earthquake of 2.2 on the Richter scale was caused by a fracking site near Elmira in Braxton County,WV. I now wonder if there is a fracking site north of Elmira and did it cause a small earthquake? I appreciate your reply

Earthquakes have been linked to disposal wells, but not horizontal hydrologically fractured wells as of this date to my knowledge. . This recent article in the Gazette reviews the history of the earthquakes in Braxton County. DJF

I’ve been trying to find what I can about impacts of fracking and CSG pipelines on wildlife – here’s some of what I’ve put together so far http://wildlifetourism.org.au/discussions/threats-to-australian-wildlife/coal-seam-gas-and-australian-wildlife/ (I’m in Australia, but other countries are facing similar issues)
