Any interested person may submit written comments on the site registration permit application and may request a public hearing by addressing such to the Director of the Division of Water and Waste Management within 30 days of the date of the public notice. Activity: To operate and maintain a treatment and disposal systems and best management practices for the direct discharge of treated industrial wastewater (mechanical and hydraulic oil and gas field equipment wash water) via Outlet 001 and untreated storm water via Outlets Nos. 002, 003, and 006 into the Monongahela River in the vicinity of Mile Point 97. Also, to accept wastewater (untreated wash water and untreated storm water) from Matriculated Services, LLC and B&B Oilfield Services, LLC for ultimate treatment and disposal. Tier 1 protection is provided for the uses of the receiving stream in 47 CSR 2.

Business conducted: The facility is a maintenance shop for oil and gas field equipment and a processor and distributor of fine sand for the oil and gas industry. Onsite operations are leased by Merit Development, Inc.

On the basis of review of the application, the “Water Pollution Control Act (Chapter 22, Article 11-8(a)),” and the “West Virginia Legislative Rules,” the State of West Virginia will act on the above application.
