WV ONGA Publicity Campaign Takes to the Radio

by Nicole Good on July 17, 2011

The West Virginia Oil and Natural Gas Association is launching a 6-12 month radio campaign that includes a 30 minute talk show and one minute promotional ads on 49 West Virginia MetroNews radio stations.

WAJR out of Morgantown will host the 30 minute talk show called “Inside Shale.” Every Tuesday from 8:35am-9am, listeners can call in with questions to be answered by various experts.  Gary Mertins, market manager for WAJR, says he also hopes to have interviews with geologists, economists, and regulators.

The “Marcellus Minute” will air 10-20 times a day for a week before a new one rolls out.

WMBS , AM 590 radio out of Uniontown, PA, is also the new home to the program “Natural Gas Matters” every Friday afternoon from 3:15PM to 5:00PM! It was at WMBS where a
former talkshow host was dismissed after too much criticism
of drilling and fracking in FAYETTE county in Pennsylvania.
