NEW Photos are presented from the Marcellus Shale areas of northern West Virginia, primarly Wetzel and Marshall counties. These aerial views give you an idea of what it is like where natural gas and its by-products are produced on the mountainous terrain in and around Wetzel and Marshall counties in WV.  Shown are aerial photos of fracking, wastewater impoundments, compressor stations, and active drilling operations, as well as newly excavated drilling pads and completed Marcellus shale wells.

These new photographs taken in the northern panhandle of West Virginia show gas drilling and production from a birdseye view.   Drilling locations, frack water impoundments, compressor stations, gas processing and pipelines are shown.  Locations are in Brooke, Ohio and/or Marshall County.  Thus, the West Virginia shale gas play can be viewed from the air.
