Kerry Edward Duncan of Roane county in WV was pronounced dead at a gas well drilling site in Franklin Township, Greene County, by Coroner Greg Rohanna just after 5 AM on July 22rd. It appears that he was electrocuted by a fuel pump at the site, though the exact cause of death will be determined by an autopsy.

 

The well, about a mile and a half north of Waynesburg, had been drilled by Target Drilling of Smithton, PA. Only three people were working at the drilling site. Drilling had been completed, and they were tearing down the site. The incident is being investigated by Rohanna, state police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
