Subject: FERC Acceptance for Filing in CP16-10

On December 1, 2020, Sierra Club filed a response to Mountain Valley Pipeline's November 16 Request to Resume Construction Activities.

This response is available at:

https://elibrary.ferc.gov/eLibrary/docinfo?accession_num=20201201-5367.

##########. ##########. ##########.

For Your Information ..... December 2, 2020

Some of you have seen this filing made by the Sierra Club yesterday, Many of you have not. It is, as usual, a great piece of work. It is 404 pages long. I reviewed it late last night. This is the breakdown.

The first 3 pages are the: Re: Answer/Response to Mountain Valley Pipeline, LLC’s November 16, 2020 Request to Resume Certain Construction Activities

The next 27 pages is the Comment made in regards to the first part.

The next 6 pages concerns Energy use and why the MVP is unneeded and even now unwanted by the/or some of the developers.

The next 9 pages addresses Turbidity issues in VA.

The next 145 pages is about the 46 NOV's issued by WV DEP ( There are now 50) It includes lots of pictures. Here are a couple of notes 1. Several of these NOV's actually cover multiple area within a single county or even multiple counties.

They should never been written as multiple violations, but WV DEP chose to make them one single NOV for multiple areas or Counties. Some of them have violations that are many miles apart, made by different contractors.

I am happy that several of these NOV's were a result of the over 185 plus Complaints I have made to WV DEP. The hard work that several of us in WV including Neal Laferriere, ICWA, WV Rivers and several other has paid some dividends.

We need more people to help monitor E&S failures in both WV and VA. If you want to help or know someone who does contact me, WV Rivers or Mountain Valley Watch.

The rest of the filing covers Sediment and Erosion control methods and turbidity issue.

Happy reading, Maury Johnson, “Stop The Pipelines WVVANC" group
