Nothing is ever done at these summits but waste a lot of jet fuel. They ought to cancel them--or ban fossil fuel reps, and mandate that every country have reps alongside the environment ministers, from environmental organizations, and scientists. It happens that my kids have a cousin whose wife has been representing Chile at these meets for years -- years ago I was told that she was feeling "frustrated" -- just recently that she quit, as it had become clear that nothing would ever be done.
