1. This is indeed innovative, and technical innovation is very much needed in this era of climate change.

2. The backbone activity here is natural gas combustion at distributed sites to produce electricity using relatively efficient gas turbines.

3. Carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides and other pollutants will be created to contaminate the residential neighborhoods, the region AND the EARTH.

4. More drilling and fracking in the Marcellus and Utica shales will result in many insults to the region. Consider water pollution, air pollution, truck traffic, noise and light pollution, methane flaring or escape, pipelining, etc.

5. A huge risk occurs because of the thousands of airline take offs and landings. Accidents do occur and airplanes can collide with natural gas drilling, fracking, production, processing equipment or pipelines. I cannot imagine the fire(s), explosions, injuries, and damages over a wide area.

NOTE: A coworker of mine was killed in an airline crash near the Pittsburgh Airport, another near the Raleigh-Durham Airport, and one of my supervisors and his wife died in an airliner crash in Kansas. A real estate agent we had died in an airliner crash off Long Island, NY. Often there are scarce remains if any of the individuals.
