This is an excellent and useful piece and I hope it gets wide distribution. 

However, I must admit I bristle when I read about ways to get cheap gas from the Marcellus to where it&#039;s used -- it isn&#039;t cheap for those of us unfortunate enough to live above the Marcellus, or any other shale play. 

YES, Virginia and North Carolina need to develop their own solar and wind resources, not depend on piping &quot;cheap&quot; gas from the wreckage of my homeland.
