Final Legislative Update:

Today is the last day of the 2016 legislative session and it is now safe to say that SB 508, the anti-nuisance suit bill, is officially dead. The House Judiciary Committee held it's last meeting on Wednesday, and the bill was not place on the agenda or taken up.

Thanks to everyone who made calls, sent emails, traveled to Charleston, wrote letters to the editor, etc. We couldn't have stopped this terrible bill without you.

In other news, SB 601, which removes certain solid waste facilities from Public Service Commission regulation, has now passed both Senate and the House and is likely to reach the Governor's desk. However, on Thursday, the House adopted an amendment that removed all references to oil and gas solid waste.

That's it for now. Thanks for all you do and for your continued support!
