Mr. Walker is wrong. The economical future and decreased dependency on dirty coal and oil is and can be based on alternative, sustainable methods -- wind, hydro, geothermal and solar.

I worked in Bradford PA for over two years, almost three, and I worked for a drilling company. I watched as the landscape changed, I was often stuck in traffic for up to an hour or more, I witnessed all the disruption on top of the ground. Let me tell you that what we cant see under the ground scares me more. I have genuine concerns about massive levels of contamination to the water aquifer. I was part of drilling a well in Terry Township that went very wrong due to a disruption to the formation allowing methane to travel. This needs to be regulated along with pumping whatever you want in the ground under huge amounts of pressure. Well lets just say there are no gaurantees. We need to regroup here and and get some regulations and restrictions. Our childrens and our quality of life count on it. Dont wait for oil/gas companies to get profits first. Let's open our eyes and protect our children.

EnergyPoint Research published my article about risks associated with the handling of water a couple months back, on September 12th. Rather than recount its points in this forum, here's the link: http://energypointresearch.com/oilfield-insights/archives/705
