Please hold a special session on the Marcellus Shale gas drilling. This issue must be dealt with before more of our drinking water, streams and rivers are further contaminated. There must be regulations requiring drillers to act responsibly to protect ground water and run off from the fracking fluid which is highly toxic.

I request that you call a special session in the spring of 2011 to properly regulate Marcellus Shale gas drilling.

There should have been strong regulations put on the gas drilling companies, before they lowered the first drill in this state.

Dear Governor Tomblin, First you know me. Secondly you know that I want what is good for West Virginia. I truly believe there are some very serious questions that need to be answered before we allow drilling in the Marcellus Shale. If indeed it takes a Special Session of the Legislature to get answers to some of these questions, so be it.

Much more study and discussion about the impact on people in the regions of Marcellus shale gas drilling is needed.
Please call a special session to give the time needed to explore this issue.
