Come On Out to the Buckhannon Riverfest 2019 in Upshur County
Buckhannon River is an asset to be protected
Join us from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 31 at the Elizabeth J. “Binky” Poundstone Memorial Riverwalk Park for Buckhannon Riverfest 2019.
This is our third annual Riverfest, and it’s solar powered! We’ll have face painting, kids activities, a snake exhibit from the WV DNR, demonstrations, and live music. Bring water for the afternoon Interfaith Water Blessing.
A flotilla shuttle will run early in the morning for those who want to kayak or float down the river. Anyone who wants to float downstream should arrive at 9 a.m. and call Alan Stevens of Daytrippin Adventures in advance at 304-516-6353 to reserve a spot.
