Following historic flooding last year that killed 23 people and destroyed thousands of homes and businesses, residents across the Mountain State are still grappling with a long recovery. In this TV special from WVPB’s Inside Appalachia, we visit resilient communities including Rainelle, Clendenin and Richwood who are rebuilding despite ongoing struggles.

Updates on WVPB, June 19 thru June 23rd

Friday June 23rd marks the one year anniversary of the 1,000 year floods, which left 23 dead in West Virginia and thousands of homes and businesses destroyed. West Virginia Public Broadcasting is spending the next few days hearing from some of the people who were affected by the flood, and hearing how residents are rebuilding their communities.
